Monday May 6, day 6
Lazy start today after the early start yesterday for Skye. Got on the road @ 10:30 and headed off to the town of Nairn. We decided to go there after a conversation we had with a docent at Fort George the day before. A quaint, quiet town she said.

A very sleepy Nairn

A very cold beach

We left Nairn heading for Burghead, a fishing town right on the peninsula. As we were heading there, we came across a jewel. We had seen no notice of an Abbey but there it was, the Abbey of Kinloss.
It was begun in the 1100's and destroyed in the 1700's. It is a ruin but also a military cemetery for the Commonwealth. Absolutely stunning!

Burghead was a bust so we headed home. Naturally, we needed to drive thru the original home of the Doofus family.

Need we say more?

Went to dinner at the same place we had dinner the first night. Again, excellent
